| The Ceilidh at Garfield Park A Ceilidh (English pronunciation: kay-lee) is a traditional social gathering, which usually involves playing folk music, food and dancing. It originated Scotland, but is now common throughout the Irish and Scottish Diasporas. The Ceilidh has been created to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of The Indianapolis 500 Gordon Pipers and to raise funds for the Friends of Garfield Park. Joining the Gordon Pipers in the evenings entertainment will be local favorite Cathy Morris and direct from Ingersoll Canada the century old Ingersoll Pipe Band. Tickets include entertainment and food vouchers to some of Central Indiana’s favorite restaurants that are on site to provide great food choices. Current and former Indianapolis 500 racecar drivers and local celebrities will also be in attendance. A VIP Scottish Wine Hall area is also available where local wineries will be in attendance to discuss and provide tastings of the many wines the area has to offer. Thank you for your interest in supporting Garfield Park, a south side icon and the oldest park in Indianapolis. The Friends of Garfield Park, Inc.
