Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Friends of Garfield Park, Inc., (FOGP) I would like to thank you for your support of our organization over the years. Since our founding in 1998, we have been committed to preserving the values and assets of our city’s greatest park. During this time we have seen bridges built, fountains fixed and over 200,000 people touched through the efforts of our group standing in the gap for those who need a hand. However, none of this happens without individuals like you who are willing to give financial support to assist the cause.
This past year has been yet another one of growth and opportunity for the FOGP. We have seen significant involvement in our Garfield Alive community effort, provided full maintenance support of the fountains in our Sunken Gardens, assisted with design funding for the restoration of the historic inter-urban depot in the park and hosted a successful Fountain Fest event to support our Centennial Campaign effort. These are just a few examples of the FOGP at work in 2014 and 2015 looks to be another year of great opportunity for us!
As the New Year rapidly approaches, the FOGP requests your consideration of a year-end gift of support for a new comprehensive effort to support our most in need. The Garfield STARS (Strength Through Activity, Responsibility and Service) will be a FOGP sponsored program in 2015 directed to engage more neighborhood youth in park activity. We have partnered with several community based sport and leadership organizations to create this dynamic and now we need you to join the team.
Donate Now to STARS by clicking this link!
Our goal is to raise $10,000 for this effort and your year-end gift of $200 can help us reach this mark. We recognize that you have many choices to consider when giving, however, a gift to Garfield Park and our STARS effort will be used as an investment for the future. You can give online by going to www.garfieldparkindy.org or fill out the enclosed card and drop your check in the mail today. Please consider what you can do, large or small, and together we can make a difference in 2015!
All the best and Happy New Year!
