Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. Friends of Garfield Park is asking for your support inside this Giving Tuesday movement as we look toward a strong finish in our 2019 campaign.
One of the reasons, this Giving Tuesday movement is so powerful is that friends like you can expand the reach and impact of this year end giving event by using the power of Facebook to expand the reach of our messaging and cause. When hundreds of Friends of Garfield Park… like you share this one-day, fundraising event page to their circle of friends, the reach and impact is maximized.
If you don’t do Facebook…No worries…
Click here to GIVE NOW and you can make a one-time gift in honor of Giving Tuesday that will be matched by our community partner, Strada Education Network.
When hundreds of Friends of Garfield Park, like you, share this one-day, fundraising event page to their circle of friends, the reach and impact is maximized. We can fund more youth programs, keep our sunken garden blooming with seasonal color, plant more trees, new ball diamonds, expand children’s garden programs, and provide maintenance for our historic fountains.
Facebook is providing a huge opportunity for good with this global giving and fund matching campaign. Plus, for all gifts over $250, you and a guest (or guests depending on gift amount) are invited to join us for a special recognition dinner at Prime 47 Downtown Indy on Tuesday, December 10th at 6 pm. Prime 47 is a proud sponsor of our Giving Tuesday event.
Will you help us optimize reach and impact for Garfield Park?
It would mean the world to us if you shared our giving event with your friends. Let them know that you will thank them personally by inviting them to join you for one or more of the awesome concerts or public events that are offered for FREE every summer at Garfield Park.
Last year alone, free entertainment at Garfield Park included: A Beetles Tribute band, a Grateful Dead Experience, Indianapolis Opera, Patriotic Fireworks, Cathy Morris, Shakespeare in the Park, Indy Philharmonic Orchestra, Movies in the Park, and so much more.
It’s always more fun when you bring your own entourage!
And the fun is not limited to summertime. Christmas season is big deal at Garfield Park!
From November 29th thru December 31st, you can enjoy Conservatory Crossing happening in the Garfield Park Conservatory. It’s not free, but it’s very inexpensive family fun and it’s inside so no worries about the weather.
You can also plan to take in an exhibit at the GP Art Center (GPAC).
Friday, December 6th you might really enjoy inviting your friends to join you on this interesting exhibition on Life in Garfield Park! https://www.gpacarts.org/upcoming
Thanks for Giving to Garfield!
A great park deserves great friends!
