Until recently the only way to “get involved” with Friends of Garfield Park was to join the board. And, we totally understand that’s not everyone’s jam.
If you want to get involved by getting your hands dirty, keep reading!
Thanks to our friends at INRC – Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center, FOGP was gifted a grant to beautify Blake’s Garden. This award-winning children’s garden was created to celebrate the life of Blake Bowell. We are so grateful for on-going support from the BlakeStrong Bowell Fund and are excited to receive this grant to help execute a volunteer workday in the garden.
These dollars are from the Neighborhood Grant Program distributed by INRC and funded through the City of Indianapolis ARPA funds. FOGP must send a heartfelt thank you to Kelly Wood, Sharon Logan and the entire evaluation committee for selecting our project.
The workday in Blake’s Garden is Wednesday, July 10 from 10a to 4pm. If you want to get involved with Friends of Garfield Park by way of sweat equity then this is your chance to get dirty!
Tell us you are coming – fill out this quick form – and meet at the Conservatory at 10am on July 10th.
